Intellectual Property Rights

4min

The Wolf Society Initiative is committed to fostering an environment where innovation can thrive while ensuring that intellectual property rights are respected and protected.

Through this approach, we aim to support the successful implementation and broader impact of the solutions developed within our initiative.

The Wolf Society Initiative values innovation and creativity and recognizes the importance of protecting the intellectual property of the participating teams. As such, the following guidelines have been established to clarify the ownership and use of intellectual property created during the challenge.

Use of Winning Solutions

Wolf Society reserves the right to use the winning solutions and the ideas contained within them for its own operations to the extent necessary. If it is deemed necessary, Wolf Society may also modify these solutions with the assistance of a third party, particularly in cases where no agreement can be reached with the winning team on further development. However, the default approach will always prioritize further discussions and collaboration with the winning team.

Retention of Intellectual Property Rights

All other intellectual property rights related to the winning solutions will remain with the respective teams. Wolf Society acknowledges the importance of these rights and ensures that teams retain ownership of their innovative ideas.

Warranties and Compliance

Teams must warrant that they hold all relevant rights to their solutions and have the legal authority to use these solutions in the challenge. Additionally, teams must ensure that their solutions do not infringe on the rights of any third parties. This responsibility is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the competition and protecting all participants.

Publication and Utilization

The solutions developed during the challenge are intended to be utilized beyond the scope of the Wolf Society Initiative, contributing to broader global efforts in sustainability and innovation. Wolf Society reserves the right to publish the materials created, either fully or partially. However, the confidentiality of business secrets will be strictly respected. Teams will receive clear instructions on how to designate such sensitive information, and relevant permissions will be obtained in advance before any publication.
